“Artists” are often people who copy ideas from others and maybe or maybe not improve on the original idea, but a true artist often finds inspiration and combines the inspiration with the gifts and talents to let them out. I spend a lot of time with musicians and I’m always so impressed when we discuss how a song makes us feel or what thoughts it provokes and then the guys around me create music that matches these thoughts and feelings. – This awesome video proves it.

- #prayforparis May 26 1992, 22 people are killed by a grenade as they wait in line for bread during the Bosnian war. In response cellist Vedran Smajlovć, regaled in full concert attire, responds by playing Albioni's "Adagio in G minor" in the rubble of the bomb crater as a lament and symbol of resistance to the chaos of war. During the remaining years of the war, Vedran continued to show up at the scenes of devastation in an act of solidarity with the victims and as a message of defiance to the warmongers. I pray that art would continue to be the catalyst for hope, healing and renewal in the rubble of the lives of humanity. To open the wound and ache of a longing for a far off and long forgotten country...homesickness for our original home. - Ian Morgan Cron Repost// @leannemthomas
